Car Rider Information

If you would like for your child to be an afternoon car-rider, please be sure to stop by the car-rider table during Meet Your Teacher Day to receive a car rider hanging tag. (Meet Your Teacher Day takes place the week prior to the start of school in August.)

If you are not able to attend Meet Your Teacher Day, just let the front office staff know that your child will be an afternoon car rider and you will need a hanging tag. 

Please read the information below to understand how our car rider line works in the afternoons.

1. Please make sure the car rider tag is displayed PRIOR to entering the car rider driveway area. If you will be picking up more than one student, a car rider tag for each student must be displayed because each student has a unique car rider number.

2. If you arrive early and no staff member is outside to direct you, you may pick the lane of your choice but please do not switch lanes because it will disrupt the order in which the children are released from the building.

3. If a staff member directs you to a certain lane, please do not switch lanes.

4. Explanation for numbers 2 and 3 above: Sometimes it may seem like one lane is shorter and you may be tempted to switch lanes, but please know that we release 7 at a time and then rotate which lane we are loading. We first load the 7 cars closest to the building and then we load the 7 cars that are in the outside lane. Once the first 7 cars in both the inside and outside lanes are loaded, we repeat the same actions.
